Good afternoon/Prynhawn da, As we approach our Year 3 class assemblies on Friday this week, we’d like to share some key information to help ensure everything runs smoothly. To prepare for our dress rehearsals, we kindly ask that all costumes be brought into school by Wednesday, 9th July. These need to be in a separate bag with you child's name clearly labelled. The children have been incredibly excited to have their work represent a charity that we have studied this year. We’re delighted to be joined by Kath Fisher, a representative of the charity, who will be there to show her support for the children. Any donations will be kindly appreciated by the children and the charity. As always, thank you for your continued support and cooperation. We are so proud of the incredible hard work and creativity our Year 5 students have shown, and we can’t wait to share their achievements with you. Good morning! I hope all the children have recovered well from their sleepover last week! As mentioned at the recent Parents Forum, there was an error in the invoice we received from Urdd. If you would prefer to receive the refund immediately instead, please contact the school office and we will arrange this for you. Many thanks. |

🎶🎶YOUNG VOICES🎶🎶 |
| 14 Jan 2025 |
Hi there. Thank you for your patience with getting this information across to you. We have now had final information from Young Voices to share.
Children are to come to school at normal time (8:45) through the main gate. They are to then walk around to the New Hall where they will see a staff member waiting to greet them. We will be departing at 9:15am.
With the performance nearing, the tickets have now been transferred over to the emails they have been purchased with. Please ensure you have the AXS Ticket App downloaded. You can then accept the ticket transfer. Please be aware that the seating allocations were made by BP Pulse. T-shirts have now been sent home with the children ready to wear for the performance.
Regarding travel sickness – please can we ask that travel sickness medication is taken before the journey. If children need to bring medication for our return from Birmingham, please can this be placed in a clear plastic bag, labelled and with a note for how and when to administer. These must be given to teachers on arrival at school.
Children have been told that they are not to bring any form of technology including mobile phones and smart watches. They are welcome to bring reading books, colouring books etc. Any items brought by the children on the day will be their responsibility. All items should be labelled. On the day of the performance, teachers will send out a Schoop to keep parents updated with timings throughout the day. Any photographs that are taken on the day will be put up at the beginning of the following week.
With regards to bags, we have had a discussion with the children today about what is allowed. We advise:
1 x carrier bag with lunch – that can be thrown away at the services
1 x A4 tote bag/carrier bag with packed tea, snacks and any other belongings which will come into the arena. Unfortunately, it must be this size due to arena regulations. Therefore, rucksacks are not allowed. These will be checked during arrival at the arena.
Many of the questions that we have received from the children have been related to food. We have told them packed lunches need to be simple, i.e. sandwiches, crisps, fruit etc. The rule of thumb would be that any food they bring could be thrown away after finishing eating. With regards to water bottles, please ensure these are not glass, and preferably not metal. There are water stations around the arena that we will use throughout the day.
